Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tsp rosemary, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side, achieving a medium-rare doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside.
- Lower the heat and add unsalted butter to the skillet.
- Stir in the minced garlic, thyme leaves, and chopped rosemary. Cook until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Spoon the garlic butter over the steaks while they rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve with lemon wedges and additional rosemary for garnish.
Notes
For best results, allow steaks to reach room temperature before cooking and avoid overcrowding the skillet when searing.
