Ingredients

  • Pizza sauce for dipping
  • Alfredo sauce for dipping
  • 2 x Pillsbury Pizza Crust
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Italian seasoning
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s shredded moz zarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) shredded parmesan cheese
  • 10 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 7 oz (198 g) jarred alfredo sauce ( I used Classico 4 Cheese )

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 400°F to preheat.
  2. Lay parchment paper over a large cutting board or baking tray.
  3. Take one can of Pillsbury pizza dough, open it, and roll it flat onto the parchment, shaping it into a rectangle as evenly as you can.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Use a brush to spread about half of this butter mixture over the entire surface of the pizza dough.
  6. Evenly distribute 1 cup of mozzarella and all of the parmesan cheese on top of the dough.
  7. Reserve 1/4 cup of the crumbled bacon and scatter the remaining bacon over the cheese.
  8. Drizzle the jarred alfredo sauce over the existing toppings.
  9. Open the second can of pizza dough, unroll it, and stretch it to fully cover the first layer.
  10. With a pizza cutter or knife, slice the layered dough into 8 even strips.
  11. Prepare a large baking tray with parchment paper. If using a smaller tray, you may need two.
  12. Gently twist each dough strip and arrange them on the prepared tray.
  13. Brush the remaining garlic butter over the twisted dough strands.
  14. Place the tray in the oven, baking until the dough starts to turn golden brown, roughly 12 to 15 minutes.
  15. Take the tray out of the oven, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and reserved bacon over the twists.
  16. Return the tray to the oven, baking until the cheese fully melts, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  17. Once done, remove from the oven and, if you like, garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  18. Serve with pizza sauce and alfredo sauce on the side for dipping, and enjoy!
