A cheesy and creamy hash brown casserole topped with crispy cornflakes, perfect for gatherings and comfort food.
Ingredients
- 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup corn flakes (for topping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In a small bowl, crush corn flakes and sprinkle them evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or sautéed onions. Allow casserole to cool slightly before serving for easier portions.
