Description

A cheesy and creamy hash brown casserole topped with crispy cornflakes, perfect for gatherings and comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup corn flakes (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, crush corn flakes and sprinkle them evenly over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or sautéed onions. Allow casserole to cool slightly before serving for easier portions.
