Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2-4 tbsp milk, as needed
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Microwave the flour in 20-second intervals until it reaches 165℉, about 40-60 seconds.
  2. Remove the flour and let it cool. Whisk or sift to remove any lumps.
  3. Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar in a standing mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the cooled flour, vanilla, and salt, mixing well.
  5. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
