Description
Succulent venison steaks enhanced with rich bone marrow butter, perfectly cooked in an air fryer for a simple yet delightful dish.
Ingredients
- 2 venison steaks (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp tallow or clarified butter (for greasing)
- Salt (to taste)
- 1/4 cup bone marrow (from roasted beef bones)
- 2 tbsp clarified butter (for the butter sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Pat the venison steaks dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt.
- Lightly coat the air fryer basket with tallow or clarified butter.
- Place the venison steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for medium-rare.
- In a small saucepan, melt the clarified butter and stir in the bone marrow until smooth.
- Drizzle the bone marrow butter over the hot steaks and serve immediately.
Notes
Let the steaks come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Using a meat thermometer ensures perfect doneness.
