Ingredients
- 8 oz (227 g) package egg noodles
- 1 lb (454 g) ground beef
- 1 (10.5 oz (298 g)) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) garlic powder
- 120 ml sour cream
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Collect all necessary items.
- Cook the minced beef in a large frying pan over medium heat until it is browned and crumbly, which should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
- At the same time, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the egg noodles in the boiling water until they are tender but still firm, about 7 to 9 minutes. Drain the noodles and set aside.
- Remove any excess fat from the browned beef. Mix the condensed mushroom soup and garlic powder into the beef. Let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
- Take the beef off the heat source. Add the egg noodles, mixing them in. Blend in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve while hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For a lighter option, use lean ground beef or turkey to reduce the fat content.
- Add chopped mushrooms or onions for extra flavor and texture.
- Try different noodles like whole wheat or gluten-free for variety.
