A quick and easy gourmet steak dish served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender green beans, perfect for any weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or to your desired doneness.
- In a separate pot, prepare the mashed potatoes as per your recipe or package instructions.
- In another pot, bring water to a boil and cook the green beans for 4-5 minutes until tender. Drain and season with a little salt and olive oil.
- Serve the steaks with mashed potatoes and green beans on the side, garnished with minced garlic and butter if desired.
Notes
Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute. Experiment with seasonings for added flavor.
