Ingredients

  • 2 cans cream of chicken
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Salt, pepper, garlic, honey as you desire
  • 1 can jumbo biscuits
  • 3 large chicken breasts


Instructions

  1. Combine everything except the biscuits in a slow cooker on the low setting.
  2. Let it cook for 5-6 hours, then take out the chicken.
  3. Remove the bones from the chicken and return the meat to the slow cooker.
  4. Slice the biscuits into 1/2 to 3/4-sized pieces and place them on top of the chicken and liquid, making sure to ladle some of the mixture over the biscuits.
  5. Set the slow cooker to high and continue cooking for another hour.

Notes

  • Sauté chopped onion in butter to enrich sweetness and flavor
  • Use two forks to shred chicken for even distribution
