Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread
- Tzatziki sauce
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Onion for topping
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground lamb over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Warm the pita bread in a separate pan or oven.
- To serve, fill the pita with the lamb mixture and top with tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality ground lamb. Adjust seasoning to your taste throughout the cooking process.
