Ingredients
- 2 deer chops
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions
- Season the deer chops with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the deer chops and sear on both sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the chops and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return the deer chops to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chops are cooked to your liking.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
