Ingredients
- Lasagna noodles, 8 sheets
- Beef ricotta cheese, 1 cup (240 ml)
- Beef mozzarella cheese, 2 cups shredded (200 g)
- Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup grated (50 g)
- Eggs, 2 large
- Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon (15 g)
- Salt, 1 teaspoon (5 g)
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g)
- Marinara sauce, 1 cup (240 ml)
- All-purpose flour, 1 cup (120 g)
- Breadcrumbs, 2 cups (240 g)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Water, as needed
Instructions
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Lay a lasagna noodle flat, spread a thin layer of the cheese mixture along its length, and sprinkle some mozzarella cheese.
- Roll the lasagna noodle tightly into a cylinder and repeat with remaining noodles and cheese mixture.
- Wrap each lasagna roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a shallow dish, beat the eggs with a splash of water.
- Place flour in a separate dish, and breadcrumbs in another dish.
- Unwrap lasagna rolls, coat each roll in flour, then dip in egg wash, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry lasagna sticks in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan on medium heat.
- Serve deep-fried lasagna mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce for dipping.

- For a richer filling, increase the amount of mozzarella cheese in the mixture before spreading on the lasagna noodles.
