Description

A rich and indulgent Black Forest cheesecake featuring a chocolate cookie crust, creamy filling, and a delightful cherry topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition.
  5. Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the cookie crust.
  7. Spoon cherry pie filling over the batter, then top with the remaining cheesecake batter.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Let it cool in the oven with the door slightly open for an hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, drizzle with melted chocolate and garnish with fresh cherries.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter and avoid overmixing to prevent cracks.
