A rich and indulgent Black Forest cheesecake featuring a chocolate cookie crust, creamy filling, and a delightful cherry topping.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted
- Fresh cherries for garnish
- Chocolate syrup for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition.
- Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the cookie crust.
- Spoon cherry pie filling over the batter, then top with the remaining cheesecake batter.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until the center is set.
- Let it cool in the oven with the door slightly open for an hour. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, drizzle with melted chocolate and garnish with fresh cherries.
