Description

Delightful chocolate energy balls made with simple ingredients for a quick energy boost.

Ingredients

  • 150 g dates
  • 30 g oats
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (approximately 25 g)
  • 60 g walnuts (or any preferred nut variety)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: a little water or plant-based milk, if needed

Instructions

  1. Pour hot water over the dates and let them soak for 10-15 minutes. Drain and squeeze the dates to remove excess water.
  2. Place the soaked dates, oats, cocoa powder, walnuts, vanilla, coconut oil, and cinnamon into a food processor. Blend until a dough forms. Adjust the consistency with more oats if it’s too sticky, or a splash of water if too dry.
  3. Roll the mixture into approximately 10-12 balls. Enjoy as is or chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator to firm up.

Notes

Experiment with different nuts and flavorings like almond or mint extract. Adjust spice levels to personal preference.
