Description
A delicious Cuban Chopped Grinder Sandwich packed with layers of meats, Swiss cheese, and dill pickles, all baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of baguette or submarine sandwich bread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 pound ham, sliced
- 1/2 pound roasted pork, shredded
- 1/2 pound salami, sliced
- 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the butter and minced garlic together in a small bowl.
- Slice the baguette or submarine bread lengthwise and spread the garlic butter on both sides.
- Layer the ham, roasted pork, and salami on the bottom half of the bread.
- Add the sliced pickles and shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meats.
- Drizzle the yellow mustard over the cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich and wrap it in aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
- Remove from the oven, unwrap, and cut into portions. Serve warm.
Notes
Consider toasting the bread slightly before assembling for extra crunch. Adjust mustard according to personal taste.
