Description

A delicious Cuban Chopped Grinder Sandwich packed with layers of meats, Swiss cheese, and dill pickles, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of baguette or submarine sandwich bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pound ham, sliced
  • 1/2 pound roasted pork, shredded
  • 1/2 pound salami, sliced
  • 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the butter and minced garlic together in a small bowl.
  3. Slice the baguette or submarine bread lengthwise and spread the garlic butter on both sides.
  4. Layer the ham, roasted pork, and salami on the bottom half of the bread.
  5. Add the sliced pickles and shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meats.
  6. Drizzle the yellow mustard over the cheese.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich and wrap it in aluminum foil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and cut into portions. Serve warm.

Notes

Consider toasting the bread slightly before assembling for extra crunch. Adjust mustard according to personal taste.
