Description

Tender meatballs infused with savory flavors of beef, onions, and cheese, slow-cooked to perfection in a rich broth.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls, for serving
  • Provolone cheese, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Place sliced onions at the bottom of the Crockpot.
  4. Add the meatballs on top of the onions.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the beef broth and onion soup mix, then pour over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve on French rolls and top with provolone cheese if desired.

Notes

Consider adding fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for extra flavor. Adjust the size of the meatballs for even cooking.
