Ingredients
- 2 lbs cube steak
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the cube steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the cube steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- In a Crock Pot, combine the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth.
- Place the seared cube steak into the Crock Pot and coat with the gravy mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the steak before cooking. You can also add diced mushrooms or onions to the gravy for variations.
