  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into thick rings and separate them, setting aside the largest rings.
  2. Cut chicken breast into small cubes and cook in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. In a bowl, combine cooked chicken, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped turkey bacon, and ranch dressing.
  4. Fill each large onion ring with the chicken mixture, pressing it in firmly.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  7. Place breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  8. Dip each stuffed onion ring first into the flour mixture, coating evenly.
  9. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully covered.
  10. Finally, coat the onion ring with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  11. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).
  12. Carefully place stuffed onion rings into the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy.
  13. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  14. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes
