Deliciously crispy baked cauliflower bites, perfect for snacking or as a healthy alternative to fried snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 Large Head of Cauliflower
- 1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- ½ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- (Optional) ¼ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Large Egg
- ¼ Cup Milk or Buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rinse the cauliflower under cold water, remove outer leaves, trim the core, and cut into uniform florets.
- In the first bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- In the second bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until frothy.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the wet mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the dry mixture.
- Place the breaded florets on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Ensure not to overcrowd the baking sheet for maximum crispiness. Feel free to experiment with spices for different flavors.
