Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with this easy recipe. Learn how to make a delicious meal that will impress your guests!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (500g) cut in half lengthwise
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (choose a halal-friendly option)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts lengthwise to create four thinner fillets. Generously season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Add olive oil and vegetable oil to a pan on medium-high heat, allowing the pan to warm for a few minutes.
  3. Sauté the chicken for approximately 5-6 minutes on each side, ensuring they are well-browned and thoroughly cooked. Move the chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil to retain warmth (turn off the heat during this step).
  4. Reignite the heat to medium-high, incorporating flour and minced garlic into the pan (if the pan has cooled, allow it to reheat first). Stir frequently and cook for around a minute.
  5. Introduce the chicken broth into the pan, whisking until the flour dissolves and the liquid reduces by half.
  6. Mix in the cream, letting it simmer softly for a few minutes until it achieves your preferred thickness (reduce the heat if it begins to boil vigorously). Remove the pan from heat and blend in the grated cheese until it melts into the sauce.
  7. Return the chicken and any accumulated juices to the pan, drizzling some sauce over the top. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, consider using half-and-half or whole milk in place of heavy cream.
  • Try experimenting with different cheeses like parmesan or mozzarella for a unique taste.
  • Add a touch of or lemon juice to the sauce for a zesty flavor boost.
