Description

Juicy turkey, crunchy bread crumbs, and sweet cranberries blend beautifully in these delightful stuffing balls, perfect for Thanksgiving gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb turkey, freshly ground or finely chopped
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sage, fresh or dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions and celery until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with turkey, bread crumbs, cranberries, beaten eggs, sage, salt, and pepper, mixing until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
  5. Shape the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Consider making the mixture a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Serve warm and pair with fresh herbs or sauces for a delightful touch.
