Delicious bites of buttery puff pastry filled with rich Brie and sweet cranberry sauce, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 oz. Brie cheese
- 4 tablespoons cranberry sauce
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F and prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry and brush with egg wash.
- Divide the pastry into 40 small rectangles and stack them to create about 20 ‘doubled up’ rectangles.
- Place the layered rectangles on the baking tray, ensuring space between them.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Slice the Brie and top each puff with a piece.
- Return to the oven for 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Top with a dollop of cranberry sauce and fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve warm on a presentation plate.
Notes
For added flavor, infuse cranberry sauce with orange zest or warm spices. Ensure pastry is cool for best puffing.
