Description

Discover the secret to making delicious Crack Burgers at home with this easy recipe. Learn how to create juicy, flavorful burgers that will impress your family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (454 g)
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream (45 ml)
  • 3 tablespoons ranch dressing powder (45 g)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cooked and crumbled beef bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (120 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) coarse ground black pepper
  • Neutral vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons mayo (45 g)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) grainy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chili sauce, the Western kind
  • 3 buns
  • Lettuce & tomato for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the beef, sour cream, ranch dressing powder, crumbled beef bacon, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl and blend thoroughly, taking care not to overmix the meat.
  2. Warm up a griddle or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle with a bit of vegetable oil, and lay the patties on it, cooking them to your desired doneness—handle carefully when flipping as they are quite tender.
  3. As the patties cook, stir together the mayo, grainy mustard, and chili sauce in a small bowl and set it aside.
  4. Lightly toast the buns, and once the patties are ready, assemble the burgers with the sauce, lettuce, and tomato.

Notes

  • Try enhancing the beef mixture with a sprinkle of garlic or onion powder for added flavor.
  • Ensure the beef bacon is cooked until crispy to provide a satisfying crunch to your burger.
  • Explore using different cheeses like pepper jack or gouda to give a unique twist to this traditional burger recipe.
