Description

Soft and fluffy cottage cheese naan, perfect for scooping up curries or enjoying as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup water (as needed)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Combine cottage cheese, yogurt, and olive oil or melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in another bowl.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into smaller balls and roll each ball into a flat, oval shape.
  7. Heat a skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
  8. Cook each naan for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, pressing gently to puff up.
  9. Brush with butter or oil and sprinkle with chopped cilantro if desired.
  10. Serve warm with your favorite curry or as a dip.

Notes
