Description

A light and airy alternative to traditional bread, cottage cheese cloud bread is high in protein and perfect for savory or sweet toppings.


Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. In a bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, combine the egg yolks, cottage cheese, salt, and any optional spices if using. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the cottage cheese mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, making small rounds.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
