Description

A creamy and rich chocolate mousse made with cottage cheese, offering a healthy twist to a classic dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (4% milkfat, small curd preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (Dutch-processed for smoother flavor)
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by adding one cup of cottage cheese into your blender or food processor.
  2. Next, incorporate the cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend the ingredients thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. If using chia seeds or chocolate protein powder, add them now and blend again until combined.
  5. For your desired texture, add milk little by little if the mousse is too thick.
  6. Once smooth, transfer the mousse into a container and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

Experiment with sweeteners and optional add-ins to customize your mousse.
