Description

Warm, fluffy cinnamon waffles topped with a delightful cinnamon whipped cream, perfect for cozy breakfast moments.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (57 g) butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups (354 g) milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 ½ cups (300 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • For the cinnamon whipped cream:
  • 1 cup (240 g) heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Start by whipping up the cinnamon whipped cream. Add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon to a mixing bowl.
  2. Use an electric mixer or stand mixer to whip the mixture until stiff peaks form.
  3. Refrigerate the whipped cream until ready to serve.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron to its highest heat setting.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, lemon juice, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. <li Gradually add in the white sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

  7. Lightly brush the waffle iron with melted butter.
  8. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to spread to the edges without overfilling.
  9. Close the waffle iron and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until the waffles turn golden and crisp.
  10. Carefully remove the waffles and serve them hot with a generous dollop of cinnamon whipped cream on top.

Notes

Experiment with different types of cinnamon for unique flavors. Letting the batter rest for a short while can yield fluffier waffles.
