Description

A delightful and sweet pull-apart bread filled with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for gatherings or cozy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, letting it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add warm milk mixture, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl and cover it to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle.
  7. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar together, spreading it over the dough.
  8. Cut the dough into strips and stack them, then cut into star shapes.
  9. Place the stars in a greased pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the warm bread.

Notes

For a lighter bread, ensure that your milk is warm but not hot to avoid harming the yeast. Customize the sweetness by adjusting the cinnamon and brown sugar.
