- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)
Instructions

- Warm the milk and mix with the softened butter. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rest overnight in the refrigerator.
- The next day, roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle a cinnamon sugar mix.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise until puffy.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth to make the frosting.
- Once the rolls are cooled slightly, generously frost with cream cheese frosting.
Notes
Allow plenty of time for the dough to rise and ferment for the best flavor. Use room temperature ingredients for better incorporation.
