Description

A comforting and nostalgic sourdough bread infused with cinnamon and honey.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Add honey, softened butter, cinnamon, and salt. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 4 to 8 hours, until it doubles in size.
  5. Shape the dough and place it in a Dutch oven.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and bake covered for 30 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing.
