Description

A delightful holiday treat combining Chex cereal, chocolate, and peanut butter, coated in powdered sugar and festive sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Measure the Chex cereal and place it in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter together, stirring constantly until fully melted and combined.
  3. Once the mixture is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal in three separate stages, folding gently to coat evenly.
  5. In a large, airtight plastic bag, combine the powdered sugar and festive sprinkles. Shake to mix well.
  6. Add the coated Chex cereal in stages, tossing gently to ensure an even coating, then transfer to a wax paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
  7. Spread the mixture into a single layer and chill for about an hour to allow it to set.

Notes

Customize toppings with crushed peppermint or mini M&Ms. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
