A delightful holiday treat combining Chex cereal, chocolate, and peanut butter, coated in powdered sugar and festive sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 9 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Measure the Chex cereal and place it in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter together, stirring constantly until fully melted and combined.
- Once the mixture is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal in three separate stages, folding gently to coat evenly.
- In a large, airtight plastic bag, combine the powdered sugar and festive sprinkles. Shake to mix well.
- Add the coated Chex cereal in stages, tossing gently to ensure an even coating, then transfer to a wax paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
- Spread the mixture into a single layer and chill for about an hour to allow it to set.
Notes
Customize toppings with crushed peppermint or mini M&Ms. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
