Delightful and colorful mini caprese salad cups that combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil for a perfect holiday appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze or vinaigrette
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Halve the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls, and chop the fresh basil leaves.
- Layer the halved cherry tomatoes at the bottom of each serving cup.
- Follow with the mozzarella balls, and sprinkle the chopped basil on top.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze or vinaigrette generously over the layers in each cup.
- Season each cup with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Arrange the completed cups beautifully on a festive platter and serve immediately.
Notes
Consider preparing ingredients ahead of time and store them separately until ready to assemble. Experiment with presentation for visual appeal.
