Description

A vibrant and festive cheese ball centerpiece perfect for holiday gatherings, featuring a blend of cream cheese, Monterey Jack, and taco seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems removed
  • 4 green onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 medium Roma tomato, cored and diced
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped white onion
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Line a 16-ounce bowl with plastic wrap.
  2. In a food processor, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, and taco seasoning until well combined.
  3. Add half of the fresh cilantro, green onions, and diced green chiles; pulse a few times to incorporate.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the lined bowl, pressing it down to mold a round shape.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  6. Once chilled, invert the cheese ball onto a serving platter and gently peel away the plastic wrap.
  7. Create a small hole in the center of the wreath using a shot glass or spoon.
  8. Sprinkle finely chopped cilantro on top and arrange the diced Roma tomato, chopped white onion, and jalapeño around the wreath’s base for a colorful presentation.

Notes

Chilling overnight enhances flavor infusion. Feel free to add other spices or types of cheese for a twist.
