Description

Delicious and nutritious chocolate protein balls made with oats, cacao powder, and nut butter, perfect for a quick energy boost or post-workout snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 45g (1 & 1/2 scoops) chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates soaked in boiling water
  • 1/31/2 cup water used to soak the dates
  • 2 heaped tbsp nut butter of choice
  • Desiccated coconut to roll in


Instructions

  1. Soak the dates in boiling water for 20 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the oats, cacao powder, chocolate protein powder, soaked dates, and nut butter until well combined.
  3. Adjust the consistency with the soaking water if needed.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls of your desired size.
  5. Roll the balls in desiccated coconut to coat them.
  6. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.

Notes

Try different nut butters and add-ins like chia seeds for extra nutrition. Roll in crushed nuts or cocoa powder for variations.
