Description

Delightful scones combining rich chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and hearty oats, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, milk, and egg until smooth.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
  8. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut it into wedges.
  9. Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use chilled ingredients. Experiment with different mix-ins for variety.
