Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare your loaf pan.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar in a separate large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in half of the dry ingredients, followed by the milk mixed with vanilla extract.
- Fold in the remaining flour, ensuring not to overmix.
- Add the chocolate chips and distribute them evenly in the batter.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared loaf pan and level the top.
- Bake for about 45 – 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool the cake on a wire rack before removing it from the pan.
