A comforting sandwich featuring tender shredded chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of hearty bread
- 1 cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Butter (for grilling)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, mashed avocado, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Spread the chicken and avocado mixture on one slice of bread.
- Top with shredded cheese, then place the second slice of bread on top.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich.
- Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve.
Notes
For added flavor, experiment with garlic powder or smoked paprika in the filling. Add fresh vegetables for extra crunch.
