Ingredients
- – 8 ounces (227 g) uncooked pasta (penne)
- – 4 cups (380 g) broccoli florets
- – 2 cups (280 g) cooked beef (shredded or chopped)
- – 1 (15 ounce (425 g)) jar Alfredo sauce
- – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) Italian seasoning
- – 1/2 cup (50 g) freshly grated parmesan cheese
- – 2 cups (225 g) mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- – Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set your oven to 375°F and position the rack in the upper section of the oven.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta for one minute less than the time suggested on the package. Add the broccoli florets to the pot two minutes before the pasta is finished. Once done, drain and place in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine the beef, Alfredo sauce, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning in the baking dish with the pasta and broccoli, and mix well.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the dish and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Place in the oven and bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbling. For a golden cheese topping, you may broil for a few minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning. Add salt and pepper to taste before serving right away.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, use whole wheat pasta for extra fiber and nutrients.
- Season the beef thoroughly before cooking to enhance the dish’s flavor.
- Add bell peppers or mushrooms for more color and nutrition.
