Ingredients
- – 1 pound (454 g) lean ground beef
- – 1 packet taco seasoning or 3 tablespoons (45 ml) homemade
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) water or beef broth
- – 8 ounces (226 g) softened cream cheese
- – 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- – 1/2 cup (120 ml) chunky tomato salsa
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350°F to preheat.
- Brown the ground beef in a medium pan until fully cooked, then drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Incorporate taco seasoning and water into the beef, and let it cook until the liquid is mostly evaporated. Take off the heat.
- Transfer the cooked meat to a greased 2-quart baking dish, then combine with 1 cup of the shredded cheddar, the cream cheese, and the salsa.
- Distribute the mixture evenly within the dish, smooth the surface with a spoon, and sprinkle the rest of the cheddar on top.
- Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the dish is bubbling.
