Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) lean ground beef
  • – 1 packet taco seasoning or 3 tablespoons (45 ml) homemade
  • – 1/2 cup (120 ml) water or beef broth
  • – 8 ounces (226 g) softened cream cheese
  • – 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • – 1/2 cup (120 ml) chunky tomato salsa


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F to preheat.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a medium pan until fully cooked, then drain any excess fat if necessary.
  3. Incorporate taco seasoning and water into the beef, and let it cook until the liquid is mostly evaporated. Take off the heat.
  4. Transfer the cooked meat to a greased 2-quart baking dish, then combine with 1 cup of the shredded cheddar, the cream cheese, and the salsa.
  5. Distribute the mixture evenly within the dish, smooth the surface with a spoon, and sprinkle the rest of the cheddar on top.
