Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) garlic, minced
  • 1 lb (454 g) ground beef
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s taco seasoning
  • 1 lb (454 g) pizza dough, rolled out into a rectangle
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • Salsa, for dipping
  • Guacamole, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Cook the diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until they become soft and translucent. Stir in the ground beef and taco seasoning, cooking until the beef is fully browned. Take the pan off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  2. Set your oven to 425˚F (220˚C) to preheat.
  3. On a floured surface, slice the pizza dough into five long pieces. Place spoonfuls of the beef mixture in the center of each piece, then add the Mexican cheese blend on top.
  4. Fold the dough over the meat and cheese, pinching it shut along the entire length and sealing the ends securely.
  5. Lightly coat each breadstick with olive oil and arrange them on a baking tray.
  6. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Take them out of the oven and sprinkle additional cheese over each breadstick.
  8. Return them to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  9. Serve warm with salsa and guacamole for dipping and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the ground beef is fully cooked to maximize the flavor of the filling.
  • Use a generous amount of Mexican cheese blend for a gooey and delicious filling.
  • Seal the ends of the breadsticks tightly to prevent any filling from leaking out while baking.
