Description

A comforting one-pot dish featuring tender steak, fluffy rice, and melted cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup rice (uncooked)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cheese (shredded, such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and steak pieces, cooking until the steak is browned.
  4. Stir in the uncooked rice and beef broth.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice is cooked (about 15-20 minutes).
  6. Once the rice is tender, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Cover again until the cheese melts.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, use beef broth instead of water for cooking the rice. Adjust seasoning based on preference.
