Description

Delightful cheesy mashed potato puffs that are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, perfect as a cozy meal or a party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend the mixture until well combined.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into golf ball-sized puffs.
  5. Carefully drop the puffs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with dipping sauces of your choice.

Notes

For best results, use cold mashed potatoes. Adjust flour for a proper consistency, and avoid overcrowding the frying pan.
