Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Blend the mixture until well combined.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into golf ball-sized puffs.
- Carefully drop the puffs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces of your choice.
Notes
For best results, use cold mashed potatoes. Adjust flour for a proper consistency, and avoid overcrowding the frying pan.
