Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) shredded cooked chicken (340 grams)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) buffalo sauce (120 milliliters)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (100 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped green onions (25 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder (2.5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) onion powder (2.5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt (2.5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (2.5 grams)
  • 24 beef bacon strips
  • 48 frozen tater tots
  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken and buffalo sauce.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions to the bowl.
  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  6. Lay a strip of turkey bacon on a flat surface.
  7. Place one tater tot at one end of the bacon strip.
  8. Add a spoonful of the chicken mixture on top of the tater tot.
  9. Place a second tater tot on top of the chicken mixture.
  10. Roll the bacon strip around the tater tots and chicken mixture.
  11. Secure the bacon strip with a toothpick.
  12. Repeat steps 6-11 with remaining ingredients.
  13. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  14. Lightly spray the parchment paper with cooking spray.
  15. Arrange the wrapped tater tot bombs on the baking sheet.
  16. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
  17. Remove from oven when bacon is crispy and golden brown.
  18. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
