Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package egg roll wrappers
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent.
- Introduce the ground beef to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Allow the beef mixture to cool slightly, then fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat, wet the edges with water, and place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll it tightly. Seal the top edge with more water.
- In another skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the egg rolls and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the egg rolls from the skillet and let them drain on a napkin-lined plate. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a crunchier texture, consider double frying the egg rolls. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor.
