Description

Delightful snacks that transform the classic cheeseburger into crispy, golden egg rolls, perfect for gatherings or cozy movie nights.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  2. Introduce the ground beef to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. Allow the beef mixture to cool slightly, then fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat, wet the edges with water, and place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center.
  6. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll it tightly. Seal the top edge with more water.
  7. In another skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the egg rolls and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the egg rolls from the skillet and let them drain on a napkin-lined plate. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a crunchier texture, consider double frying the egg rolls. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor.
