Description

Delicious and easy-to-make cheeseburger sliders perfect for summer gatherings, ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean ground beef (90/10 or 93/7 fat content)
  • 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 large yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 slices medium cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz medium cheddar (shredded)
  • 24 dinner rolls
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (melted, plus more to grease baking sheet)
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and butter the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat and add 1/2 Tbsp of olive oil.
  3. Add the finely diced onion and ground beef to the skillet. Break up the beef with a spatula.
  4. Season with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp garlic powder. Sauté until cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. Spoon off excess fat from the skillet and discard it. Stir 1/4 cup of mayonnaise into the ground beef mixture.
  6. Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Layer sliced cheese over the rolls, followed by the ground beef mixture.
  8. Top with 6 oz of shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Place the top halves of the dinner rolls cut-side down over the layers.
  10. Brush the tops with 2 Tbsp melted butter, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the tops turn golden brown.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating Worcestershire sauce into the beef mixture or using different cheese varieties.
