Description

Discover how to make a delicious Cheeseburger Meatloaf that is packed with flavor and sure to become a family favorite. Perfect for any mealtime!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (900 g) ground beef
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) minced onion
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (8 ml) salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (8 ml) ground black pepper
  • 3 cups (300 g) shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to preheat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, beaten eggs, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle measuring 14×18 inches on a sheet of wax paper.
  4. Evenly distribute the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat, ensuring a 3/4 inch margin around the edges.
  5. Roll the meat up tightly, similar to a jelly roll, to encase the cheese and create a spiral loaf.
  6. Seal the ends by pressing the meat in to fully cover the cheese.
  7. Position the meatloaf in a 10×15-inch baking dish.
  8. Place in the preheated oven and bake for around 1 hour, or until thoroughly cooked.
  9. Ensure the center of the meatloaf reaches at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) using an instant-read thermometer.

Notes

  • For a more succulent meatloaf, opt for ground beef with a slightly higher fat content.
  • Try switching up the cheese with options like mozzarella or pepper jack for a unique flavor profile.
  • Enhance the meat mixture with a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce for added depth of flavor.
