Description
Delicious caramel apple cheesecake bars with a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy filling, and warm spices that evoke the comforts of autumn.
Ingredients
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chopped apples (approximately 2 medium apples)
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with 1/4 cup sugar and melted butter. Mix well and press into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and nutmeg until everything is fully incorporated.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over your prepared crust in the pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center sets. After baking, let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding a dash of nutmeg or extra cinnamon. Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smoother batter.
