Ingredients
- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 pound sausage (kielbasa or smoked sausage), sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil if using.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the diced potatoes and mix well.
- Add the chopped cabbage on top, season with salt and pepper, and cover the skillet.
- Cook for about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and the cabbage is wilted.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve warm.
Notes
When sautéing the onion and garlic, allow them to develop a golden color for enhanced flavor. For spiciness, add crushed red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
