Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mix-ins (like blueberries or chocolate chips, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, softened butter, sugar, and egg; mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in any mix-ins, if using.
  6. On a floured surface, shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
