A versatile and hearty meal that combines all the beloved elements of burgers in a deconstructed format, topped with fresh ingredients and a homemade sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 5 teaspoons pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Water (to thin sauce)
- 1 bag tater tots
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Red onions, diced
- Tomatoes, chopped
- Lettuce, chopped
- Pickles, diced
Instructions
- Cook the tater tots according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, Cajun seasoning, sugar, garlic powder, and a dash of water to achieve desired sauce consistency. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- In a large pan, add ground beef and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
- Halfway through cooking, add Worcestershire sauce, stirring well. Increase heat towards the end to achieve crispy beef crumbles. Make sure to drain any excess grease.
- Prepare your toppings by chopping red onions, grape tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles.
- Once the tater tots and beef are finished cooking, assemble your burger bowl by placing beef on top of the crispy tater tots and adding desired toppings. Add plenty of that delicious homemade sauce for the finishing touch.
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider substituting ground turkey or lean beef. Experiment with toppings for exciting flavors.
