Description

Creamy mashed potatoes infused with roasted garlic and enriched with brown butter for an indulgent comfort food experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 head garlic
  • 2- lbs potatoes (about 2-3 potatoes)
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese
  • ½ cup hot milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven or air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel off excess skin from the garlic head and trim the top to expose the cloves. Drizzle with oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Cut the potatoes into 2-3 inch chunks, cover with cold salted water in a pot, and boil until fork-tender (25-30 minutes).
  4. In a medium saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat, stirring continuously until it turns golden and nutty.
  5. Once the potatoes are done, drain them and let them sit for a minute.
  6. Add roasted garlic, browned butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash to desired consistency.
  7. Stir in cream cheese and hot milk until just incorporated. Season to taste and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
